The Barnstable Brown Party is held on the Friday night before the Kentucky Derby - May 4th, this year - and draws celebrities from all areas of entertainment! Probably the most anticipated Derby Eve party, the Barnstable Brown party is pleased to be welcoming this year attendees, such as Aaron Rodgers, Ashton Kutcher, Kid Rock, Nick Lachey and Miranda Lambert, plus many more!
This lavish event is hosted by Patricia Barnstable-Brown and her twin sister Priscilla Barnsable, as well as their mother Wilma Barnstable and Patricia's son, Chris Brown. The event raises money for diabetes research and treatment, which claimed the life of Patricia's late husband, Dr. David Brown. Additionally, some of the proceeds are given to the sisters' alma mater, the University of Kentucky.
It has been a growing tradition for several Louisvillians to head over to the Barnstable-Brown home, on Spring Drive in the beautiful Highlands neighborhood, to try to sneak a peak of their favorite celebrities as they enter the party. It is an exciting scene for several locals to see Louisville become a hot, celebrity hangout for a few days while the Kentucky Derby is going on.
