For those of you on our mailing list (who actually read our emails) you may have been confused by the most recent message. It
was a brief note claming that the full housing inventory is giving buyers the upper hand.
If you've been reading our blogs, you know that we've been saying the exact opposite for months now: the market is so desperate for inventory that buyers are in for cutthroat competition.
To clear things up: our email newsletter makes use of a system of Keller Williams-designed messages that refer to the national market. So it's true that there are indeed many areas that are saturated and buyers can just take their pick.
However, when we blog, we write about our neck of the woods, the Denver Metro Area. And here, we are seeing buyers being beaten to the punch or outbid all the time. Last month, inventory was down 57% compared with 2011.
So, hopefully that clears up any confusion for our hordes of obsessive internet fans.
