Welcome to Hinesville Georgia 

Hinesville is a growing community sitting just 40 miles southwest of Savannah. Perhaps best known for its proximity to Fort Stewart, this city of nearly 31,000 people is Liberty County, Georgia’s county seat.

Hinesville enjoys a moderate climate and an atmosphere that envelopes you with old Southern charm. There are plenty of live oaks gracefully covered in Spanish moss and a vibrant downtown bristling with life. The stunning Georgia coastline is close by as are vast marshlands and beautiful forested areas with plenty of trails and outdoor activities. Nearby St. Catherine’s Island is a 10-mile long island with more than 14,000 acres of protected habitat for endangered species from around the world.

Hinesville is a welcoming place. Perhaps that’s due to their proximity to Fort Stewart, home to the Third Infantry division. Army families are a welcome part of the community in this city. After all, the city and the fort have been neighbors since 1940. Education is a prime focus in Hinesville. The Liberty County School District offers services for students from pre-school through high school with eight elementary schools, three middle schools and two high schools. One of the schools, Bradwell Institute is a nationally recognized public comprehensive high school. Opportunities abound in Hinesville.

There are many small businesses in the area. The Hinesville Technology Park is home to Component Technologies. Nearby Midway Industrial park also hosts a variety of businesses from Hugo Boss (Fashion and accessories) to distribution centers for Target and Tire Rack.
