A Surge in Calls

Since December 15th we have had a sudden surge in calls from buyers. Many are buyers we have shown homes to over the last 6 months who put buying off for one reason or another. But in the last two weeks we wrote two offers (only one went UA) and have had four reconnects with buyers who contacted us for showings. Maybe things will pick up for a bit. Anyone else seeing this trend?

I sure hope its a sign of good things to come for us all! HAPPY NEW YEAR to ALL of our Friends Here on AR!

Jill,

Happy New Year to you and Ron! There is a fair chance that interest rates will go up, and in a market with that prospect, buyers will come forth! I'm not surprised! Thanks,   Fran

For the my listings, I have not seen any increase on traffic but it does appear thorugh the MLS stats that under contracts have become more ferquent.  I haven't compared the numbers from last year, but I'll be working on that soon!

Fran - Yes, I am afraid the interest rate could go up! No one seems to listen and I think there will be a suprise if it does to many! Happy new Year to you too!

Jennifer - You know, my listings have not seen any major increase in showings but with the new contacts it may take a while to get to the point where it shows up in number of showings. Happy New Year!

I just had a client close on a property and they got a 5-3/4%, 30 year fixed rate.  They were so excited.  Have a great New Year!

I've seen more activity this past week too. Seems like the buyers all of a sudden have come out of hiding! I hope it keeps up.

Happy New Year!
