The inventory of single family homes available for sale is continually growing, in March there were 406 (data pulled 3/5/12), April had a total of 467 (data pulled 4/11/12) and currently we have 491 for sale (as of 5/2/12). The least expensive is a 4 bedroom/2 bathroom, 1,700 square foot Cove home listed at $199,000. The most expensive? An island in Long Island Sound. Yes, an actual island off of Wallack's Point. The main house built in 1909 (but nicely updated throughout) holds 11 bedrooms and sits on a secluded 3.5 acres. Private showings are available. Ever imagine how it would be to own your very own island and still have ready access to Manhattan? Well let me know if you'd like to discover the possibilities...
And finally, the number of homes under contract is growing. In March we had 62 homes under contract, April looked at 90, and as of May 2 we had 98 homes under contract. Do you see a trend happening? Stay tuned for May's stats and we'll see if the increase continues in Stamford Connecticut.
