Why are you thinking about buying a new home? Perhaps you have been living with relatives and the welcome is wearing out. maybe your landlord is a jerk and he's raising the rent again. Maybe you have a four bedroom family in a two bedroom home. Maybe your neighborhood stinks. maybe your neighbors stink.
Fact is that you are probably thinking about a new home because you feel that it's time for a lifestyle upgrade. You know that you and your family deserve something better than the current condition. But, is this the right time? Of course it is. The only way this is not the right time to make a commitment to your present and your future is if you feel that you have no future. If that were the situation, you would not be reading this, would you?
There is a group of folks who are thinking about making a personal lifestyle upgrade commitment to themselves, but they have become misdirected. They are concerned about the housing market and whether this is a good time to buy. If that sounds like you, please ask yourself one question. Ask yourself if this is a good time to waste time. How long do you want to wait to enjoy a better life?
The small changes in home prices over the last year or so in just about any market are not really enough to substantially affect the average home buyer. How's the market? Consider the rent that your landlord enjoyed receiving from you over the last year compared to any possible advantage in waiting to buy. Nobody can predict the future with absolute certainty, but not many folks feel that next year will be worse than last.
Buying a home is a major commitment, most often the largest financial commitment we have ever made. We are exchanging one debt for another. The most important debt we have to deal with is the debt we owe to ourselves and our families. The time for a lifestyle upgrade has arrived. Call me for help taking the first step.
