Can You Help Michael Penniman Win a Wheelchair Van?
Matt Grohe wrote about Michael Penniman of West Des Moines, who is in a wheel chair. I join Matt asking you to vote for Michael so that he has a chance to win a wheelchair van, which he now really needs.
It cost us nothing, but voting and coming to vote again every day until May 13. But this could mean a lot for Michael Penniman. I also suggest that you reblog Matt's post to increase exposure.

Michael Penniman of West Des Moines, Iowa suffered a serious spinal injury in late January of this year.
He is now confined to a wheel chair. He has been rehabilitating in Craig Hospital in Colorado but is due to be released on May 16th. The family has incurred a lot of expenses with his injury and is now in the beginning stages of a 4 month remodel of their home to accomodate Michael's special needs. The list of what they need is endless and if you have ever known anyone in this kind of situation you know that his stuff is NOT CHEAP.
There is currently a contest going on called The Local Hero's Contest being put on by the National Mobility Dealers Association whereby one person can win a wheel chair van if they receive the most votes. All voting is done online and you can vote once a day until MAY 13th 2012. If you locate your local NMEDA affiliated dealer, you can call and get a code to get an extra five points. Vote is free, it's easy and it is a simple process. Winning this van would be a huge help to them.
