The Rockville Centre NY Building Department is reminding residents that Building Safety Month is a good time to think about spring cleaning chores and remove potentially combustible clutter and debris from attics, basements and garages.
Also check the batteries and life-span of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
Residents are reminded that permits and inspections are required for all new construction and renovations, including electrical and plumbing work. Permits are also required for fences, pools and central air conditioning.
You can visit the Department at 110 Maple Avenue or consult the Villages' website at www.rvcny.us.
