A discovery which is not new is, “How we view a situation depends on our own mindset.” Another way to say it is, “What we focus on expands!”
A Bible verse which I have found meaningful is, Finally, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
Our peony is especially beautiful this year. As I was admiring its beauty, I also realized how fleeting this beauty is. It will bloom and quickly die. Do you focus on the beauty of the moment or the realization that this moment is short lived. I want to focus on the beauty and appreciate it. What about you?

Cal....unfortunately, my focus these days is on keeping my head above water! It seems I work 10 hours, 7 days a week! But, I did take a good chunk of today off, worked in the yard, picked up a few plants and installed them around my fish pond, and mowed the yard till the mower broke. So is shelled out $400 for a new one!
I did write an offer this evening, and now listening to a webinar, having a glass, and playing in the rain.
One day, my efforts will be rewarded..and I can go on vacation!

I do focus on 1/2 full, Cal. Lovely post with lovely photos. What you alluded to is what I believe...whatever it is we focus on we get more of. And, I am very clear on what I want more of. My job is to keep the focus on that, yes?
