Motivational Monday: Free Hugs = More Business?

Free Hugs

Need more customers?  I spotted this creative and resourceful artist while walking around the Cottonwood Art Festival in Richardson, Texas this past weekend.  Standing in front of his booth, he displayed the clever idea of offering "Free Hugs" to attract customers.  I can't say if he sold more art, or even if he gave out any hugs -- but he sure did stop a lot of traffic.  Heck, it even grabbed my attention long enough to stop and take this shot.

Hmmm ... offering free hugs to increase business?  It's a thought.

Good morning Carie -

Great photo!  I find myself after the first day of working with my clients the guys get a hand shake and the gals get that big ole hug.  Debbie hugs them all....... Imagine that :)  Have a great day in all you do my friend.

Carie~  it doesn't help that he is quite young... I also have had a few clients that hug me at the end of the day... some do and some don't.... Personalities are different when it comes to house shopping... no extra charge for those hugs though1

Very cute, Carie - gotta give the guy credit for an innovative approach to selling his art...and isn't it all about differentiation and benefits?  A hug seems like a nice 'plus'! :-)
