In running a search working the seo, I ran into thhis post. Thanks! LinkTowns is on the Boom and interestingly enough we have some Big Brand Web Entities looking to distribute LinkTowns.

The entire premise is hyper-local networks with "Blocks" as Niche'. In the Real Estate sector, it breaks down by:

Homes for Sale, Homes for Rent, Apartments, Land for Sale and so on...  Where it gets more interesting is there could be as many as 5 or 10 or more dedicated to just the Real Estate aspect and as Local Merchants add "Blocks" and the PayPal stores, the presense locally takes on a life of its own.  This and the e-newspaper and linking to Blogs begin to surround or go circular in a given town/city etc..

Then begins the cross-promotions between "Blocks".  As the Net builds going form one-town to another and another, the presense in the social marketplace builds effective and affective reach and local interaction.

So imagine having you own marketplace connected that you control attached to other merchants, services, professionals and more locally, yet tied to surrounding towns with one-common goal. "True- Local" from Streets to the web as the streets are where we really make our livings.

Take control of Reviews instead of a Big San Francisco Internet Company. What do they know about where you live and eat and shop. They do not. You do though and that is what Local is all about.

So again, thanks for the post on LinkTowns.Com
