As always, good job, great crisp photos and excellent description. Featured once again. I hope others will take a look and see how to make the best looking blog for a listing!

Perhaps, you could elaborate on whether or not you use a different progam to bring in your article or if you simply start typing right on AR. Also, it might be nice to share with everyone the camera and such. There are a few blogs I have seen where the photos are very blurred and perhaps those agents might benefit from your information, if you care to share.

Thank you Gena - I would be glad to share.  I use word to set up these blogs, but more for the spell checking than the format. (so I pretty much set it up on Active Rain, specially when I use a lot of photos).

As for the camera, I have a Lumix (made by Panasonic) - DMC-FZ20.  It's a 4.9 mega pixel with a 12X Optical Zoom.  Rick did a lot of research and it's been a great purchase and not an expensive one either.  You can also by separate lense attachment (wide angle for example) -which will be our next purchase for tight angles.

It's so refreshing to see some imagination used in the marketing a home.  We always try to be alittle bit more imaginative than what we see out there and this is a great idea that is "thinking outside of the box"!  We try to put ourselves in the shoes of the Buyer when we are showing houses and translate that into our listing presentations.  Good job Rick & Ines!

Thanks for sharing your great read with those of us who might not have seen it - Gena.

Innes: You really know how to maintain your composure! Good job. I also have to thank you for providing the little "how to". It's folks like you that make this such a great place to be.

Gena: Thanks for the "heads up" and pointing others to this post.

Kelly - I think there's a lot to learn from Active Rain in general, you can get such great ideas, thanks for coming by.

Lisa and Bob - It's so difficult to keep up with so many posts in Active Rain, so I too thank Gena for exposing us to things we would have missed otherwise.

Christopher - I am humbled - thank you.

Very pro-active way to show this listing, and great debate.

By the way, do you ever have any trouble with the formatting translating from word when you paste it into AR? I wrote a really lengthy post the other day, and lost the entire thing! I'm obviously not looking to do that again..but was wondering if there was any downside to creating it in Word first.

Thanks for sharing,

Beth

Beth - you can't keep the font and the layout does change a bit when you transfer it from word, but at least you don't loose the work.  I've gotten used to making modifications once I copy the text over.  The most time consuming is the photo layout, because sometimes it takes a little long to upload my photos.  I know other people bring different size fonts and colors into Ar, but don't know what they are using.  Hope that helps!

No problem Beth - I always get the Z - I rather a misspelled name than no name at all.

Beth, I noticed your comment about having trouble sometimes with the conversion from Word to AR.  As far as the written word you can copy the word document and paste it into notepad which copies just fine into AR or a couple of programs that I use for my outside blog are great ... one is called BlogJet and the other use to be called Writely but Google bought it out and now its google docs.  This gives you a few alternatives.

Your welcome everyone. I think it's always good to share when you have something that is noteable to share and Inez, in my opinion continually showcases her listings beautifully. If I missed someone else that you think we should take a look at, please feel free to let me know.

Ines - thanks for the great post and Gena - thanks for the pointer.

Just goes to show that those people who say writing about a listing doesn't get comments or featured - the difference is, doing a great job blogging a listing.  Kudos!

Thanks MOO - I always prefer to present our listings as they are.  If you don't paint the right picture, then not only will buyers be dissapointed, butt other agents will doubt your descriptions for their next buyer.
