The cost of a Home Inspection is very small relative to cost of the home being inspected. And the additional cost of hiring a certified Inspector is almost insignificant in the broad scheme of things, and in many cases results in saving the Homebuyer a significant amount of money in both the long and short term. As a Home Buyer, you have been working hard to protect your interests by crunching the numbers, negotiating offers, adding up closing costs & shopping for mortgages. Do not stop now. Do not let anyone talk you into skimping when it comes to obtaining a quality Home Inspection. If the home is a historical home, be sure to inspect for termite and prior termite damage.
Mistake #2: Not Hiring A Buyer's Agent To Represent You.
Buying property is a complex and stressful task. In fact, it is often the biggest single investment you will make in your lifetime.
