A few weeks ago, I was inspired by a post that Joe Smith wrote on April 6th on the importance of domain names and how that can really help you in the SERPS. I knew this and had read it before, but it was a great reminder about something I had been meaning to for a while...
...so , that night, I went to bulkregister.com and did some searches for my key words. Much to my surprise, I was able to find 2 GREAT domain names that were available...in fact, my top 2 choices:
WestchesterHardwoodFlooring.com
and
WestchesterCarpet.com
I couldn't believe my eyes.....So, I bought them right away. Well now, just a few short weeks later... I have launched 2 mini sites. These are simple wordpress sites. I basically had my we developer replicate the look and theme of my TheFlooringGirl.com and made 2 new sites (I did the content):
These sites are only 3 pages - a hardwood home page, an about us page and a contact us page. Very simple. More to come later when I have more time. and, I did write one blog post on the carpet one...soon, I'll add one to the hardwood one.
I'm hoping that by adding links from this post and having a few people +1 them, it will help get me indexed a bit faster and help in the SERP's. If you have a second and if you like what you see, it would be wonderful if you can +1 these sites.
