The Catchword of the Week is BALANCE!

By
Real Estate Agent with Diversified RCS Inc; http://www.ManhattanPropertiesGroup.com

As we head into the summer market, the Catchword of the week is BALANCE.

We are familiar with how difficult it can be to maintain balance as a real estate agent.

To help us all with maintaining BALANCE in the upcoming months, here are some thoughts to consider:

  • Have you hugged your spouse or significant other today?
  • If you have kids, have you told them you love them today?
  • When is the last date night you've had with your spouse or a special friend?
  • When did you read your last non-work-related book, and what was its title?
  • Is your summer vacation scheduled, and where have you travelled recently for vacation?
  • What is the last movie you've seen?
  • What hobby do you have that is not related to real estate?
  • Have you learned any languages lately?

Use the above questions to trigger your thoughts for similar questions that are specifically applicable to your lifestyle, and then use those thoughts to prompt you to remember to maintain some BALANCE in your life!

That's all for now.

I have to agree that it is time to strike a balance but one must make time for the family. Go see new Avengers movie today

Kevin,

I am still undecided if balance cant truly be achieved in a Realtors life. You are so right that you must take a break and spend time with our loved ones. :)

Hi Kevin - great advice!

Well, my hubby's been deceased for more than 24 years, but if I had one, you betcha I'd be hugging him!

Kids are grown but I tell them I love them with every phone call or email.

No dates for this old lady, ~ six months ago with friends.

I'm currently reading, Fifty Shades of Gray

D.C. next week, Chicago in June and August, San Antonio, September, and one unknown destination

I saw The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel today, directed by John Madden, starring Judi Dench, Bill Nighy and Maggie Smith

Gardening is my hobby.

I started taking Italian Lessons a few weeks ago

Hi Patricia,

Thanks for your thorough reply -- you seem to have mastered BALANCE!

In fact, you've touched so many "bases" in your reply that it reminded me of my son's in-the-park home run last night -- without this week's catchword of BALANCE on my part, I almost missed it -- and I would not have been there to witness it and then celebrate with an ice cream cone after the game!

I think my son and I -- and you -- are all thankful for BALANCE!

Best,

Kevin

Hi Kevin --- a great post and reminder -- balance is so important in real estate and in life.   I'm quite impressed with Patricia Feager's comment --- WOW!

Kevin, that is so true.  We all need balance in our lives and especially when it gets busy and hectic.  Thanks for reminder...there are a lot of things that I need to improve on in this list.
