Construction has begun on New Fire Station in Cinco Ranch

Construction began April 12, 2012 with ceremonial ground-breaking of a brand new Fire Station in Cinco Ranch. The new station will be located at 26950 Cinco Ranch Blvd Katy TX which is near the intersection of Katy Gaston and Cinco Ranch Blvd. The new facility will cost an estimated $2.7 million and will have approximately 13,000 square feet of space. The new station will contain three apparatus bays, firefighter sleeping areas, a training room and office space. The station will be named Willowfork #2. This new station became a necessity for the area due the large and continuing growth and increasing number of alarms occurring in this north section of Fort Bend County.

Bob -- I can imagine with all the growth in Katy that this new station is really needed. It's comforting for buyers to know that Katy is well protected by their brave firefighters.

Thank you everyone for your comments as it is always appreciated by me. I screwed up and thought this was a draft and I would post it today Friday and not Thursday afternoon. When I realized I had made a mistake I already had comments from both Josh and Dale. Oh well mistakes happen..

Many of the fire stations in San Diego are on rotating blackouts due to the budget cuts. Glad someone somewhere is building new fire stations!
