Construction has begun on New Fire Station in Cinco Ranch
Construction began April 12, 2012 with ceremonial ground-breaking of a brand new Fire Station in Cinco Ranch. The new station will be located at 26950 Cinco Ranch Blvd Katy TX which is near the intersection of Katy Gaston and Cinco Ranch Blvd. The new facility will cost an estimated $2.7 million and will have approximately 13,000 square feet of space. The new station will contain three apparatus bays, firefighter sleeping areas, a training room and office space. The station will be named Willowfork #2. This new station became a necessity for the area due the large and continuing growth and increasing number of alarms occurring in this north section of Fort Bend County.
It is forecasted depending on the weather that the new station will take 270 days to build and will be operational during the first quarter of 2013.
