I'm a mom and I'm fortunate to still have my mom. I'm thinking about Mother's Day Gift Ideas for my mom & what I'd like to do in San Antonio myself. So, I decided to share my San Antonio, Texas ideas. If you're not in San Antonio, Texas there are some non-geographical ideas too. 2. Open Table offers GREAT DINING SPECIALS for mom. I like they show a photo, have reviews, and provide reservations information.
3. MySA.com provides a nice list of EVENTS for moms.
4. YELP! for HELP! for DAY SPAs Day spas are still one of the most popular things to give mom for good reason! It's relaxing and we all need to wind down from time to time. What better way to make mom feel special?
5. Alamo Plaza Spa deserves its own bullet. I first learned of this when my lovely husband Scott gave me a half day spa gift certificate for mothers day years ago. I have since given one to my mom, which means it really passed the test! It's located at the historic Menger Hotel adjacent to the Alamo. We entered the basement for a dark, relaxing massage and eucalyptus steam sauna. Later we went for brunch, then a swim since you get access to the pool. The dining is incredible. The first time I went, my husband made arrangements to join me for lunch then we went walking around downtown. Very nice!
6. As always, FamilyFun.com comes to the aid of KIDS! I saw some really cute things. Might need some dad help, but maybe older siblings or friends can help if dad is short on time.
