Blog thiefs beware! Blogs are copyrighted!

Not naming names but tonight while on AR I can across a post very similiar to another that was posted just a few days ago.  Why are people not orginal in their blogs?  Do they not have enough education to write about things they no and care about?  Are they that stupid?  I have been on AR for only a few months and it seemd like this is becoming more and more common.  If the whole blog is not stolen and rewritten, the use the same idea and twist it.  It's making me sick!

Where are the blogging police?  Bloggers not using their own material should be banned on site.  if your too stupid to have your own material you are too stupid to be a good Realtor!

Is this becoming blogbay, where everyone will eventually steal everyones elses blogs like the photos are stolen on ebay, http://www.ebay.com/?

For those who think blogs are not copyrighted, guess again!  Here is a link to 12 does and dont's when it comes to copyrighting and blogs!  http://www.dailyblogtips.com/copyright-law-12-dos-and-donts/

Don't get sued by someone like ME!  Read it and be careful, you need not register your blog to get protection under the law!   http://www.copyright.gov/

Jeff.  See that little red flag under your post.

Did you use it on the one that plagiarized someone else.

The moderators can only do so much.

You're right to not name names here BUT use that flag.

It's up to us to police ourselves.  When we see stuff like that WE need to take action.

That's why the little red flag is there.

Bloggers police thyselves!

Hey Jeff: If you really want to see how many of your blogs were swiped, try entering a URL into http://copyscape.com. The first 10 searches on any given day are free.

I deal with plagiarism on a daily basis. Some people think if they take your work and slightly twist some of the words or make a few subtle changes, then it's not plagiarism. But they are wrong. Dead wrong. And if I catch them, I will prosecute them. They think everything on the Internet is free, man, like it's there for the taking, man. That's what the Internet is all about. They are morons. Grrr.

ERBY- the flag does not always mean it was plagiarized.  It is also used for posted that are deemed important too or against the spirit of AR, I did not place the flag.

When Looking to Buy or Sell - Make the Right Move

After some A/R'er copied 35 of my posts (and some from other A/R's) for his "outside" website.  We got him kicked off A/R and I think a few other members were planning a good 'ole fashion butt-kicking.

That being said - I have no patience for people like this!  I used that little flag for someone who "Moved up to the #2 Featured Spot" by posting copied stuff.  That person has now been bumped way down the line.

What are people thinking?!
