Houses for sale in Oak Park are starting to going under contract within very reasonable periods of time. As an example, in the month of April there were 36 houses for sale that went under contract. I am telling you that this is terrific news!
As a Realtor with Remax in The Village, Realtors and the past president of the Oak Park Area Association of Realtors I was snooping around the Realtor side of The MLS yesterday and I would like to report to you that of Realtors I have developed many personal Realtor contacts in the Oak Park area and talking to them, everyone to the person says the same thing: House sales in Oak Park are selling very well if priced right. Definitly we are doing better than a year ago.
However, the same cannot be said for Oak Park condos for sale. This market segment in Oak Park remains stagnant and will continue to suffer for several more years. If you happen to own a townhouse in Oak Park again, if priced well you should do OK.
