I don't want to get into the politics of parties or candidates but I just want to remind everyone that, like Iowa tomorrow, you'll soon have the opportunity to vote in a primary election for President of the United States of America. If you're registered to vote, AWESOME! If you think you're registered, MAKE CERTAIN. If you're not registered, PLEASE DO SO IMMEDIATELY!!!!
There is no bigger waste than an uncast ballot.
You have the right to choose who governs you. If you don't like the way the nation is being run; DO SOMETHING TO CHANGE IT. If you're happy with the way things are; VOTE TO MAKE SURE THEY STAY THAT WAY!
There is nothing that irks me more than a non-voter that complains about an individual's performance once in office. "Did you vote for him/her?" Oh no, I didn't vote! THEN SHUT UP!
I highly recommend a trip to vote-smart.org (or a similar site you're comfortable with) to check up on the candidates. You can view information on the voting process, link to register, check the voting records of the candidates to see where they stand on the issues that mean the most to you. A lot of candidates will talk the talk- but when it comes to a vote, do the walk-the walk?
(I've included that sites most recent updates on states' primary dates)
