The Sensei/Grasshopper contest demonstrates the power of ActiveRain.
There I was: fat, dumb, and happy, thinking that I knew everything that I needed to know.
Along came the Sensei/Grasshopper contest. I was intrigued, at first, by the points.
Quickly though, I realized that I could learn, in detail a new business segment... from a complete stranger: a Sensei, a mentor. And, since we are hundreds of miles apart, we will not compete with one another.
What's in it for Laura Filip, my Sensei? She is in the Texoma area of northern Texas, and I'm in Sierra Vista, in southeastern Arizona. I'm not sure, but I do know that there is great satisfaction in "giving back," in teaching, and in helping others.
Whats in it for me? Holy smoke! I cannot even describe it. Laura provided me with detailed work plans and steps necessary to "crank-up" my REO business. She energized me. She's caused me to do things that I should have done on my own: but didn't.
My Sensei rocks! Thank you, Laura, for unselfishly helping me, for giving me your time.
Dick Greenberg rocks! Thank you, Dick, for creating this contest.
ActiveRain rocks! But, you guys already knew that!
And, I am available as a Sensei for anyone needing my help. Fortunately, I'm not as dumb as I look!
