In my business, there are many questions.  I am in the business of Asset Recovery.  Specifically dealing with money that cannot often be found through a normal (or any search) on the Internet.

A question asked of me often is “What is a structured settlement?”

Our standard answer: “A Structured Settlement in transactions like ours is a term that usually refers to any deferred payment obligation resulting from the settlement of a claim. Typically, the Claimant will have to wait, depending on the state where the claim is located, this can be anywhere from up to 12-24 months prior to any payment being issued by the state provided that no other creditor claims the funds.”

The funds that our company deals in are not the typical funds that can be found on some of the websites mentioned below, or even on any of the additional “Lost Money” websites.

As a matter of fact, you can go to www.USSF.co or www.USFinancialFunding.com (the same website of ours) and click on the bottom where it shows a picture of the United States and look for money for free for you, your wife, family and friends.  I offer this as a free service because this is not the money that we deal with.

In some instances it can take up to 36 months (depending on the state) to get paid.  Many times, we act as a Settlement Funding Company, we pay the Claimant now and we wait for the money at a future date.  Many of our client’s (called Claimants) want their cash now because they understand that cash today is worth more than cash tomorrow.

Many of these can be found by going to two main websites, www.MissingMoney.com and www.Unclaimed.org (which is the official site of NAUPA.  The National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators).

Most of the money that we find for people (which is $10,000 or more) cannot be found on any website.  Iknow it is hard to believe, however, it is very true.  This is why everything that we do is through attorneys located in the state where the funds are located and we are members of good standing with the Better Business Bureau.
