Why are you on Active Rain? File:Tomato.jpg

There are at least a few people here that just like to hear themselves talk. At the other end of the spectrum are the people who focus on generating interesting and relevant content to help boost their visibility to potential clients. And there's a whole gamut of people in between these two extremes.

In this article, Realtor Steve Beam of Parker, Colorado discusses the nitty gritty of how blogging is an integral part of his real estate marketing strategy. He began on Active Rain but then continued on to his own outside blog at RealEstateYak.com. Within six months, the article explains, Steve began to see inquiries from the blogging which eventually developed into 50% of his total income.

When you read the article about Steve on Real Estate Tomato you'll be struck, and I was, with Steve's reasons for blogging. Not only he say he believes it made him a better agent, but he also says his blog provides 24/7 professional advertisement that is always accessible to potential clients.

Another success story here in the Rain! I know I've found someone I'd love to emulate more.

Wayne and Jean.  We all have our reasons, but one thing I know for sure is that tomato is ready to eat.

I think I've read a few of those posters you mention in the first part of your blog!  Don't know that I'm familiar with him, but will have to check Steve out.

Wayne & Jean - when I first started blogging I had no idea of what it could really do for my business. Active Rain has taught me more about SEO, harnessing more Google Juice, better marketing strategies and best of all my website is at the top of page one of Google....all because I blog. Moreover you meet so many wonderful people in the Rain making it my favorite marketing tools. I still get calls from potential clients who found one of my old posts floating around on the Internet! Now I'm off to read the article - thanks for posting!

Wayne and Jean,

Thanks for covering our conversation with Steve.  I haven't been back to the 'Rain in a while, so it was a great excuse to revisit my old stompin' grounds. Glad to see that the community is still going strong.
