We've waited a long time for the cool refreshing rain we experienced in St. Augustine today. Somehow it rains all around us, but the most we usually get is a scattered sprinkle. Understand, the tourists love it. Day after day to enjoy the lovely wide beaches, walk around the Old City, or dine al fresco at one of the many great restaurants. It's not that I want to ruin anybody's vacation, but could we have a whole day of rain every now and again? The Players Championship had near perfect weather last week, and aside from golf, the visitors were able to enjoy all the wonderful things St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra and Jacksonville have to offer! If you've not been here, plan a trip in the near future. We'd love to have you visit, but please plan for one day of rain during your stay.

Rain in Florida is usually here one minute and gone the next. It is often very welcome and can't ruin anybody's parade. Come on rain!

Thanks for sending that rain our way, Margo, we needed it and it was very welcome here. The same thing happens to us here on the beach, most of the time we get just a light shower...great for the tourists but a nice rainy day occasionally would be a good thing!
