Help! A strange thing happened when I printed this photograph from my Kodak Easy Share camera... these odd circles just appeared. People who have seen the picture have offered several theories explaining exactly what they believe them to be. Several people have suggested that they are orbs, which supposedly represent spirits around St. Augustine's Cathedral Basilica. That's eerie. Another few people have suggested that the circles are the result of moisture on the lens. It was, however, a dry evening. I really have no idea what they are, but they definitely make the photo more interesting! If you have any ideas about their origin, please let me know.
Margo, no ideas here, but I have seen this effect on pictures I have taken. Someone on AR know the answer, I will have to check back...
Margo:
I can hardly wait for some photography genius to give you the answer. Actually, I would go with the orbs theory.
I am going with spirits to explain the orbs, but I believe in that while many don't. Whatever it is, it is a great photo and I am pleased to see my Grasshopper using photos in her blog posts. Remember, I am a phone call or email away if you need me!!!!
I would want to believe in spirits theory but would try to make another picture of a dark sky somewhere else and see. Maybe you just need to wipe those lenses LOL. I will check back to see what it was.
Hi Margo:
It is great to see that you are finding time to stay active with AR Blogging. Excellent photo...seems like there is moisture in your lens. Thanks for sharing
Thanks, everyone, for your comments and ideas. Interestingly, I took several pictures that evening, but this is the only one with the mysterious circles!
I love this story and the photo and am waiting for a new story with great photos.............come on Grasshopper, YOU CAN do it!
Just a little reminder that I am indeed looking for more recent posts about St Augustine..................
Cool photo and I too would love to believe the "spirits" theory. I have heard that dust particles, small insects and even pollen particles can create the phenomenon - but that's the logical mind at work. :) Have a wonderful Friday Margo.
Waiting for a new blog post from you, Margo.........don't disappoint me..........what is up in your life?
Wishing you and your entire family an absolutely wonderful Christmas Holiday! Blessings to you and yours!
