Hello Mr. Sun… Meet Miss Meri Gold, isn’t she beautiful?

Oh, the sun has finally come out here in Oregon and we have had a lot of it. Almost 2 weeks without a drop of rain now and the flowers are starting to bloom and my camera is really starting to get the dust taken off of it.

This marigold was just popping out to say hello on day 4 of the sun and I had to take its picture, it didn’t seem to mind as it held still for the entire photo shoot.

Todd - wow, having 2 weeks of sun is so great... I tend to forget that life is different around the nation. We enjoy more sun, but there is a different type of beauty in your state

Hi Todd -- doesn't it seem like a marigold is a symbol of spring -- I guess the flowers are going to being making a big appearance around the city after two weeks of sunny weather.   Looking forward to lots of photos in and around the Portland/Beaverton area.

My marigolds are still little guys growing in pots in the house - I'll be happy when we can feel a little confident of no more freezing nights and I can put those little beauties in the ground.

Hello Mr. Sun… Meet Miss Meri Gold, isn’t she beautiful?

Good morning Todd and yes Miss Meri Gold is beautiful.  Debbie planted some this year in her rose bed.  She likes a variety of color and that they do provide.  Try going six months of blue sky and no rain.  We did get a couple little showers last week which thrilled us and our landscape!

Hi Todd,

I love marigolds and always plant them in the spring. I like how their little yellow heads show up over all the other flowers and they last forever it seems. Thanks for sharing and your photo is beautiful.

Todd,

It won't be long until all of the flowers feel the sun's power. :)
