IRONMAN TEXAS 2012 ~ THE WOODLANDS, TX ~ THE RUN COURSE

The Ironman Texas Run section will be taking place after a 2.4 mile swim and a 112 mile bike ride. The 26.2 mile race will be going through the Woodlands and is comprised of 3 loops that wind through the area. The race will end directly in the heart of The Woodlands Waterway district. The finish line will be at the bridge on Waterway Avenue.

If you want to be inspired and energized, come out and watch this race! Athletes from all over the world are here in The Woodlands. The event fills up our hotels and brings a lot of tax dollars to the area. The economic impact is wonderful!

The Woodlands welcomed the athletes last year all the way until midnight. Come out and cheer them on!

Nope, I am not participating but thanks for the vote of confidence! I stick to the running only. Love to swim but not in lakes. I like to be able to see the bottom. I will be there as a volunteer. Love to watch this event. Very inspiring! So many stories out there about people who have overcome incredible odds to be participating.

Paula, I think it's wonderful that you volunteer for an event like this and post the event ahead of time on your blog, so that people know what's going on in their community. Make sure you post a follow-up blog about the event!

Thanks Tanja. I will be at the finish line cheering them on all night. I was there last year and it was a blast. I know several people who are participating so it will be rewarding to see them finish. I cannot even imagine how they do it? And, it has gotten really hot here!
