IDX Will Make or Break Your Online Marketing

IDX Amps up your businessWe've all seen the stats......people go online to look for homes for sale. 80%? 85%? 90%? It doesn't matter, it's a large percentage of them no matter which stat you choose to use.

ActiveRain was born out of IDX. We originally used ActiveRain as the name for the lead management platform that we built to accommodate and convert the leads we were generating via our IDX website at our real estate brokerage. It would later become the ActiveRain you now know, but if not for our use of IDX and the impact it had on our business so many years ago, there would be no ActiveRain.

So you can probably imagine that I have a soft spot for IDX. It fueled our real estate brokerage for years. And it's no less important today. In fact, I still believe a solid IDX product is THE MOST fundamental aspect of having success marketing your business online. A solid IDX product will amplify ANYTHING you are doing as it relates to marketing your business online. It will amplify your blog posts, it will amplify your Craigslist posts, it will amplify any of your social media marketing and it will certainly amplify any pay per click advertising you may be doing on your own.

How does it amplify them? IDX is the fundamental way consumers can (and do.......or in some cases, do not) find listings on your website. And even though we have all these cool marketing tools to be able to get people to find our posts, click our CL ads, interact with us on fan pages (whatever the heck it is you are doing to get people to find you online)......at the end of the day, they want to see the listings.

If they were researching a certain neighborhood because they've heard that's the best place to live in Northville Michigan and they find your blog post......once you convince them that's where they want to live, they want to see the listings in that area! It's that simple. No matter how you get them to find you online, when it's all said and done.......they want the listings.

But whereas for the consumer it's all about the listings, for you as the agent it's just as much about how can my IDX product allow me to close more deals. How can it make me more efficient at converting lookie lou's (those people that aren't going to buy for a year) into deals. How can I turn my blog into a lead generator for my business. How can I figure out where to spend my prospecting time when I take that time every day (you do make time every day to prospect, right?)

On Wednesday, May 23rd at 10am Pacific Time I am going to show you the things you need in an IDX platform to take your online marketing to the next level. Many of you already have IDX. A few of you will no doubt have all the tools I will share. Many of you will not. Many of you will think "I have IDX, I'm fine".......when the reality is you are only fine if you have the right IDX. I'm not talking about a particular product, there are quite a few out there that are capable of doing what we'll talk about, I'm talking about a set of tools that your IDX must have to make it that invaluable piece of your business. I'm talking about those few tools that once you have them, and are able to generate more leads and then convert those leads to clients more easily, you will wonder "how Why did I ever operate have a website before this?"

This is not the first time I've done this class and it will not be the last. Once again, a solid IDX is FUNDAMENTAL to generating prospects for your business online. In many ways, it's fundamental to your business. And the longer you wait to make the investment in an IDX that does what you need it to do, the more prospects you miss, the more deals that go to someone else more equipped than you are.
