Welcome to Harriman Hill in Monroe, New York.
This community was built in 1976. It consists of one level condos located on either the first floor or the second floor and three level townhouses.
The one level units have 1 bedroom, 1 bath or 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths and are between about 1000 square feet and about 1069 square feet.
The one level condos have parking spaces available in parking lots.
It is often easy to enter your condo, if you are on the first floor. Frequently there are no steps or only a few steps to enter your unit. This makes it convenient to bring in groceries and is great for people who do not want to climb steps to enter their homes.
The townhouses have 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. The square footage ranges from about 1200 square feet to about 1500 square feet. These tri-levels also have fireplaces and many of them have walk-out, finished basements.
The townhouses have garages for 2 cars and parking in front of the garage, too.
Many units have been renovated and have updated kitchens and baths.
The condos and townhouses have laundry rooms in the units.
The master bedrooms are large and often have walk-in closets.
The living rooms are spacious, too.
The condos and townhouses have wooded views and lovely courtyard views. You can enjoy these views as you sit on your deck or patio or as you look out your windows and sliding glass doors.
I felt a sense of peace and tranquility as I drove through this community.
I delighted in seeing the beautiful trees that were blooming. The landscaping is lovely. There are a variety of speciman trees, ornamental schrubs and flowering perennials and annuals.
There is a swimming pool in this community. I can imagine how much fun it is to swim in it, in the summer and to enjoy picnic lunches at the tables that surround the pool.
Harriman Hill also has other amenities inclucing a playground, a basketball court, and tennis courts.
As a pet lover I am happy to say that pets are allowed!
Between January 1, 2012 and the time of the writing of this article, four 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath units have sold for between $142,000 and $162,000.
At the time of the writing of this article, one 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath tri-level is on the market and is being offered at $195,000.
Harriman Hill condominiums and townhouses is convenient for commuters going into New York City. There are buses close by to take you into the Port Authority of New York at 41st Street and 8th Avenue. There is also a railroad train station in Harriman which is closeby, and takes commuters into either Secaucus or Hoboken, NJ. From there, you can take the Port Authority Trans Hudson (PATH) trains to lower Manhattan or 34th Street and 7th Avenue in Manhattan. The commute into New York by public transportation is about 1 and 1/2 hours.
This community is also close to major highways, such as the NYS thruway (I-87), Route 17 and Route 17M.
It is very close to the wonderful Woodbury Commons Premier Outlet shopping mall and many other stores, including Walmart, TJMax, BJs, Target, and more!
