I keep running across different things when I'm searching information regarding "Pinterest"...It looks like it's a website the links to things you want to keep track of. Is that the gist of this thing? Just wondering if any of you have ever used it and what you use it for? Is it more or less a way to book mark favorite sites and pages or does it do more than that?
What is Pinterest?
Pinterest is a virtual pinboard. Pinterest allows you to organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. You can browse pinboards created by other people to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests.
People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and share their favorite recipes.
Can't say I have used it yet, though I recall either Ben Kinney or Michael Tritthart talking about it. The above I took off their website at Pinterest.com under the help section which will give you some "useful" information about the program...
There are two schools of thought about Pinterest. That it is a time suck and that it is a great networking tool. I think you can use it to your advantage, but it does take up a lot of time. It certainly wouldn't hurt to create boards of your favorite subjects and see what happens.
