A full schedule of Graduation Ceremonies and Receptions, this is the BIG day for the Cadets. Commissionings take place throughout the afternoon and evening, with the Graduation Ball being held at night. The roads through the Air Force Academy grounds will be closed from noon until 3:00 pm for the Thunderbirds Practice Show which will take place at 2:00. If you have ever been in town for this event, you know that roads on the north side of town and on the Interstate are congested. Thrilling but noisy, the Thunderbirds put on a spectacular show that have thousands of people stopped along the sides of the road to watch and enjoy, and thousands more in fields and parking lots taking time out to watch these precision performers. Give yourself plenty of travel time.
