WE ARE NUMBER TWO! WOO HOO!
OK, so most people do not bragg about being #2 (not like Avis did years ago) but we are pretty proud of it here in ND these days... especially Western North Dakota.
Most of my posts over the last 3 years have been related to either our flooding in the Mouse River Valley or the Oil Boom in Western North Dakota. This post is Oil related. I capitalize Oil because man-o-man Oil is bringing in the Capital.
I've post many pleas for contractors to get their idle crews off their rear ends and out here because we can use all the workers the Nation has sitting around... right now... REALLY! I say really because despite all my pleas I still get several call a week from contractors asking me "really???". Yes Really.
In January of this year (2012) North Dakota replaced Alaska as the #3 oil producing State and last week we replaced California as the #2 oil producing State. Look out Texas, we are looking to be #1.
North Dakota has been #1 in the Nation for several years as the State with the lowest unemployment, highest State Cash Reserves, the only State without a deficit budget, highest per capita of millionaires, and on and on and on.
North Dakota is the land of oppertunity, has been for the last decade and is only getting stronger. Weather you want a great place to raise your children or a place you can earn a decent wage take a close look at what North Dakota has to offer.
