SO YOU THINK YOU CANNOT GET BUSINESS AT A NURSING HOME!

By
Real Estate Agent with Appleseed Homes

While departing my weekly visit to the Nursing Home where my mother-in-law is residing, I saw all the people coming and going....Hmmm, I said to myself, here we have nurses, doctors, receptionists, aids,a cleaning crew, maintainence men, cooks, coffe shop attendants, etc.  What a better place to put my flyers with my business card...A few days later I did just that...On the second day I received 2 phone calls inquiring about home purchases.  I was estatic....When I spoke about this idea, everyone just lauged...and said"Oh yeah, what a place for your business card", only thinking of the residents and not the workers in the home....Always remember, put your cards where there is traffic...and see what happens...Good Luck to Everyone...

Good call Carol, I bet people won't laugh much when you're closing deals with people who call you.

That is such a great idea.  Turn a not so good situation into a better one.  Thanks for the post.

Great idea Carol. Did they have an area to post this information or did you have to leave it with someone? I wonder if they would let anyone do that or only because you have a family member that resides there.

hi Carol,

2months ago I took my Dad to SI hospital for surgery.  While waiting there with my Mom we started to have a conversation with some of the employees and of course my mom told them I was a Realtor.  They asked me for my card and I gave it to them along with my husband's business card. In conversation you never know who is looking to sell or buy a home. It is always good to strike up a conversation with people. val
