"Start Your Engines"?
Then head to the Manhattan (IL) Park District's "Cardboard Car Drive-In Theatre", where kids can design, create, and "drive" their own specially-designed car on June 8th.
Open to kids between the ages of 4 years to 9 years old, this event sponsored by the Manhattan Park District will be held at its Program Center located at:397 So. State Street in Manhattan, IL ... between the hours of 6 pm to 9 pm.
Kids need only to bring a healthy supply of imagination. All other supplies, along with refreshments and drinks, will be offered by the Park District that evening.
After creating their cars, kids will "drive" their new cardboard vehicles to the Drive-In Movie Theatre where the Disney movie, "Cars" will be shown. Kids can "drive" their creations home when the movie is over.
Children must be pre-registered for this event no later than May 29th. The Fee for taking part is $8 per child.
Upon registering their child, parents receive a coupon for 25% off a 'dinner for two' at Jack's, located on State Street in Manhattan. (*Note: Coupon must be used on June 8th between the hours of 6 to 9 pm).
