Earlier this year, we observed a pair of Blue Herons nesting in the Nivens Creek area of Lake Wiley. Sometimes we would see the mother or father and sometimes both. Soon, we could see they were feeding the young chicks, Finally, this week, we saw the ytoung chicks for the first time. They were standing in the nest surveying the lake. As you can see from the pictures, they have grown quite a bit. All in all, it has been an awesome experience to have watched this nest and finally see the young chicks!!
