A Brand New Year!

Happy New Year, Everybody!

This is my first post of the 2007 (-007... hmmm).  Did everyone have a great Christmas and New Year?!  Seems like it!

I have been a busy little bee over the Holiday.  It seems like Sacramento is stirring...

Inventory is down a little, the bottom of the market is starting to tighten a bit, it looks like interest rates are doing ok, and income tax refunds are about to start coming in.  Add that to all the investors who had to make their move by 12-31, and it seems we have the makings for a nice start to the year.

But wait, there's more: our local paper (Sac Bee) has actually printed a couple of positive (gasp) things about the real esate market. (shivers!)

I hosted an Open House over the weekend and am happy to report that despite cold temperatures (at least it wasn't raining!), folks were out in force, looking at homes.  And these weren't peek-a-boo looks, either.  Every single party that came through really took their time and LOOKED at the house. Interesting.

Perhaps there's a marketiong opportunity here ... New Year's Resolution the Buy a Home; Use your Tax Refund to Buy a Home... hmmm

Christina,

Thanks for the post. The sharing of positive news in the media about of industry is refreshing. Even better to have it borne out in our daily experiences.
