Happy New Year Everyone!

It's time to make it GREAT in '08. I've been a regular visitor to the Active Rain Network for at least a year now, and decided to join up fresh for the new year. I'm excited to be here! This is my first blog entry so please bear with me.

Who am I?

I'm the author of 5 books on the real estate industry. My books are primarily for real estate agents and other industry professionals, designed to take their business to the next level.

Two were just released for 2008. They are:

  1. "30 New Clients in 30 Days (2008 Edition)". This is my most popular book. Because of it's popularity, I've written and updated it every year since 2005. It's a guide that lays out a step-by-step plan of everything a real estate agent needs to do in order to gain up to 30 new clients in the next 30 days. It also covers over 60 ways to find real estate business plus dozens of other topics. Too many to list here.
  2. "The Real Estate Agent's Guide to BIG Profits with Short Sales, Foreclosures, Auctions, and Other Changes in Today's Market. (2008 Edition)". As of the end of 2007, short sales and foreclosures are the # 1 fastest growing sector of the real estate market. It's also the least understood for most real estate agents.

Agents that know how to work these type of deals are making a killing with all the new business they're seeing. In response to the hundreds of agents around the country that have been asking for help in learning these new ways of doing business, this book was written.

According to the NAR, the average agent only sells between 2-4 homes a year. I assist those agents wanting to close upwards of 50-100+ homes a year.

Why am I here?

I think, live, and breathe real estate. I love networking with the real estate community, and with all the changes that took place in our industry last year, I think it's absolutely critical to stay on top of the market and the constant changes. Not just as an agent, but for any person that's conducting business in this industry.

We all know that hundreds of mortgage companies shut their doors last year, but were you aware that hundreds of thousands of agents were forced out of the business in 2007. The last number I heard was that over 300,000 were forced out nationwide. That's a lot of people who were forced back into a "real" job. Thousands more are expected to be forced out this year. The market is affecting us all.

If you can stick it out in this market, imagine how much business you'll have once the market rebounds, as it always does.

My job is to help agents not only thrive in this changing market, but to also succeed in spite of it. Regardless of what's going on in your local market, if you check the numbers I'm sure you'll find that hundreds, if not thousands of deals are still being done. Your only job is to find them.

Could NOT have said it better!  I see agents in the office bemoaning the current market and just laugh.  My thought?  If you get up off your keaster (?) and make it happen you would be surprised!
