For a lot of us, ActiveRain has become a big, tight-knit family. And just like our regular family, when someone needs us, we should be there. Well, a member of our AR family needs our thoughts and prayers.
For those of you that know him through ActiveRain, he needs no introduction. For those of you that don't know him, you should make it a habit to subscribe to him. HIM is Brad Andersohn. Brad is one of the most subscribed-to members here on ActiveRain. And the reason is simple and obvious....he is always sharing great technological tips and advice. He is one of the top bloggers here when it comes to TECHKNOWBABBLE! I only know Brad through ActiveRain, but what I do know is that he is a stand-up guy. He has taken the time to speak with me a couple of times, and we are on opposite coasts.
I really think everything happens for a reason, although in times like this it is hard to believe sometimes. Brad is very intelligent, smart, and talented, so I know that a door will open for him. It's just a matter of what and when.
The new year has brought a few unwanted changes for Brad. I know he will make it through, but it never hurts to have some folks thinking of you and pulling for you. Let's all keep Brad in our thoughts and prayers. It's the least we can do with what he has done and provided for all of us!
I know that Brad has a lot more subscribers and readers than I do, so most of you are already aware of Brad's challenges. But if I have only reader or subscriber that Brad doesn't have, then I feel honored to have introduced them to such a great guy.
If you haven't yet read Brad's post, please do so. And feel free to leave him some words of encouragement. We all need it sometimes. His time is now.
David and Kristin,
Thank you so much for this post. Brad has given so much and now it's our turn to give back.
David,
Tanks for the heads up, even though I have never talked with Brad I have always noticed his passion through his writings. I sent him a well wishes note.
Take care!
RJH
Howdy David
Brad is a very good guy for sure. I think he is one of the top 5 blog writers on Active Rain, always thinking of ways to help others with info. My thoughts and prayers are with Brad and his family!
Have a good one
Dale
David and Kristin - I read Brad's post last night. He is such a wonderful teacher and shares so much information. He will find work right away. I hope he will be able to be passionate about it. Change is so good for people. I suggested he welcome it with open arms. There is always a good reason that trouble's are given to us. They make us better.
I'm glad so many people like you care about him.
Happy New Year!
Dale- You are right on!!
Elaine- You're right, Brad is a star and will be just fine!
Meg- I'm sure whatever he does, he will be passionate about it! Happy New Year to you as well.
Kay- That's what I was hoping for...I hope you get a chance to check out his blog. It's full of great information!
I certainly had no idea what Brad had been going through. I was truly stunned. Thank for the update. he is a local legend in my opinion here in our local community and in the AR community.
Margaret- You are correct! It is disheartening to know that employers can do that to folks who have worked for them for so long. We are always at the mercy of our employers! Thanks for stopping by.
