Using your Automobile As A Moving Advertisement!

Who has considered putting one of those magnetic signs on your car door.  Those who do it, I commend.  There is more chance to recognize advertisements on a car then on a 100FT billboard.  Every time you drive your car, your marketing yourself to hundreds, even thousands, of others.  While your parked, you have yourself a billboard at that location!

Let's take this one step further.  There is a fairly new, hi-tech, vinyl "wrap" that can be put around the entire vehicle.  I think this is the coolest thing in advertisement right now.  You can actually wrap your vehicle in one giant advertisement.  I have seen local realtors do this and I still remember seeing the car!  This actually jumps out at you.

I guess the only downfall is that if this is your only car, then it would be possibly embarrassing parking this giant mobile billboard at a friends, or family's house.

Have any of you considered doing this to any of your vehicles?

What do you think about this idea?

I have never considered a wrap as most of the ones I see around town look pretty bad.  Most of them, they use such strange fonts that you can't even figure out the words, or the lettering is a bad color and the sun glares prevent you from reading even if you're right behind them tailgating to get a look.

However, I have orders my personalized license plate that Texas is now offering:

I also have business card magnets and stick those on my car so people in parking lots can take them.  Once the plates come in, I expect more business cards to disappear quicker!

I have a simple white lettering done on the back window.  This "reinforces" the farm area that I am in business and that I am busy :)

One broker I was interviewing had the impression that I have been in business forever because he saw me "everywhere".  At that point it was only a year.

I wouldn't wrap and if I did I would want to be more creative like the Red Bull VW's driving around town - and even then I would be embarrassed.

I completely agree with you.  You're office is right up the street from mine.  I see both the Foxton's and Help U Sell cars around all the time.  I think it's just too much.  Those are the cars that made me decide to post.  The simple magnets get the point across just fine in my opinion... Thanks Ravi...

My partner has the magnets on each door.  It's tasteful and great when we go out on expired listings.  Only bummer, can't have any road rage or bad behavior when people can see who you are all the time.  Keeps you behaving!

Cynthia:  Funny you say that.  I drive my tourist sphere all around town and for some reason they all want to get stupid if we are driving on the strip!  Hello PEOPLE!  My name and phone number are plastered on the back of my car!

Eric,

Thanks for the post. I think I would shrink wrap the real estatemobile and not the family car.

It definately wasn't your car.  I specifically saw a Remax car that had red and blue balloons all over it.  It was a PT Cruiser.  Even the windows had vinyl wrap on it!  It was amazing.
