Welcome to Tuxedo Heights condos and townhouses in Tuxedo Town and Southfields, NY.
This community was built in 1972. It consists of one level condominiums and two level townhouses.
The one level condos have 1 bedroom, 1 bath and are between about 556 square feet and 886 square feet. These units have parking spaces outside of them.
The duplexes have 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths or 2 bedrooms and an additional room, and 2 baths. They range in square footage from about 1004 square feet to about 1485 square feet. These two level townhouses have a garage and parking in front of the garage.
Many units have been renovated and have updated kitchens and baths.
They have fireplaces to enjoy on those cold winter days and nights!
The one level condos on either the first floor or the second floor share a laundry room in the building, on the entry level.
The first floor of each townhouse has an eat-in-kitchen, a living room, a dining room, and a half bath.
The second floor of these duplexes has 2 bedrooms and an additional room and 2 full baths.
The lower level of the townhomes has a laundry room and additional storage.
The community has a pool for its residents to enjoy and the pool is surrounded by beautiful woods.
The community has a rustic, woodsy feel and views of the woods from your decks.
Enjoy the wooded views and barbecues from you spacious decks!
You can enjoy dramatic views of mountains from your terraces, which are on the other side of your condo or townhouse. So there are great views from both sides of your unit.
I felt a sense of peace and tranquility as I drove through this community.
I enjoyed seeing the lovely perennials that were blooming and took a picture of this pretty bleeding heart plant.
The flowering trees were a delight to see, too!
Commuting to NYC is convenient from Tuxedo Heights. There are buses that take you into the Port Authority which is on 8th Avenue and 41st Street. There is also a railroad station in Tuxedo that leads to Secaucus or Hoboken, NJ and from these two stops there is transportation to 34th Street or lower Manhattan, on the west side of NYC. Tuxedo is also close to many highways including Route 17, Route 287, the NYS thruway aka I-87. This makes commuting by car to Northern NJ, Rockland County NY, and Orange County NY easy.
As a pet lover I am happy to say that pets are allowed!
Between January 1, 2011 and the time of the writing of this article, four units have sold. One 1 bedroom, 1 bath condo sold for $122,500 and it was an estate. One 2 bedroom, 2 bath foreclosure sold for $122,500. Two 2 bedroom, 1 bath units sold for $152,000 and $180,000 respectively.
At the time of the writing of this article, three units are on the market. One 1 bedroom, 1 bath unit is listed at $169,000. One 2 bedroom unit with an additional room and 2.5 baths is on the market for $210,000. It is a short sale. One 2 bedroom, 1 bath condo is being offered at $191,000.
