What Is Your Favorite Book You Have Ever Read?

Industry Observer with No longer practicing real estate as of 2008.

I was Book MeMe'd a while back and didn't have anything to write about in that MeMe.....because I don't ever read books.  I use to when I was in high school.  I could read a book in a day or two over the weekend.  I use to read all the time, but then just stopped.

It's been many years since I have picked up a book (except real estate books).  However, this year I am starting the year out differently.  I am going to start reading more, watch less TV, eat healthier, exercise more and lose some weight.  It's time for a change and this is going to be the year for it!

So, what are some good books that you would recommend that you have read and really liked?  What was the name and author of it, or them...if you have more then one favorite?

And I don't mean real estate related either.  ;)

Jeez, I'm with you on this one.  Not real estate related?  I must need a vacation so I can read a book that isn't about work!  I'll be back to get some book titles to try out.

Oh, Becky - HUGE reader here!  Depends on what you like.  Romance? SciFi? Mystery? Let me know and I'll pass some good ones on to you!  Currently I am reading Chocolat....yes, same as the Johnny Depp movie - I never saw the movie and like books better than movies......I'll let you know.

Now, for the eating healthier and lose weight thing......email me and I would be happy to partner with you 'cause I WANT TO, TOO!!!!!  Gotta get the kid to bed - see ya'll in the am!

Oh me too...the list is endless! Both Fiction and non-fiction. I go in waves though, after so much stimulating of the brain, I have to veg out w/ a good beach book or mystery. My favorite non-fictions are usually about serial killers....great, now WHAT does that say about me?

Hi Becky

I miss reading so much since being in real estate.  I promised myself to read more.  My favorite authors are Tony Hillerman, he writes southwestern mystery novels.  They all take place in Arizona or New Mexico and having been there only twice I relive my trips through his books.  I have read all of his 25 or 27 books since 2001.

Barbara Kingsolver  writes novels and books of essays. She is such a gifted storyteller/humanitarian/philosopher.

Quite a few years ago I wrote book reviews for my local newspaper, ahhh, those were the day of enjoying one of my many pastimes.
