I have been pondering all of the Doom and Gloom forecasts concerning Real Estate the Media has been publishing. Looking at the Real Estate Market from my perspective I am seeing the third cycle of the Real Estate market adjustment since I became a Real Estate Agent/Broker. Today’s market presents a wonderful opportunity for Real estate buyers (if the are qualified) to purchase a house at a fair price. In certain markets prices have fallen substantially (7%-20%) while in others only a small amount (2%-5%) but, there are certain very desirable areas prices are actually still rising. Make sure all Buyers are qualified with a commitment from an actual direct lender, Not pre-qualified by a mortgage company that may not exist even as you read their letter (exalting the praises of a potential buyer). Take your time and find out exactly what your client wants, do not project your thoughts and feelings into their choices and make sure that they are financially comfortable with the mortgage payment schedule added to the escrows and taxes. By following these guidelines you should be able to sell a property sooner have a happier homeowner and certainly get referrals from them in the future.
