Just My Photos ~ Springtime Brings Lots of Radishes
Speechless SundaysRadishes

While in NYC this weekend I passed the Farmers Market... Warm weather has the markets with plentiful amounts of radishes a bit early I'm told. Fresh and a bit spicy. A Google search says the greens can be sauted with garlic, and so I included the tasty stems in some stir fry tonight. Enjoying the warm weather and great veggies.. My local CSA is opening this week. I’m excited as it is truly now the beginning of summer!

Janis - What a great photograph of radishes- simply beautiful.  I loved how you used the entire plant.  Enjoy the summer farmers' market this year!

Janis,

I love their color.  I was never much of a Radish eater when I was young but haven't tried them now in years.  I need to try them again and see if my tastes have changed!

Hi Janis, These bring back many memories of growing up with a big family garden. When I was younger, I couldn't get enough of them. Today I pay a price for eating them but still love the taste.

Janis,

While I may not be a fan of the actual vegetable itself, your photo of them turned out great.

Janis, just started growing radishes again last year...when you grow  them in the right soil they don't have that bitter sharp tang..they are mellow & sweet..will need to start using the greens in my stir fry!
