Craig....OMG....I just wrote a post and followed your instruction....I'm so excited that my smiling face is no longer there....thank you sooooo much.
Another good one Craig. ..I'm high on Google plus more than ever before. . good stuff
Have a great Memorial Day!
Thanks Craig for another great tip! I so appreciate your easy to follow instructions and great info!
Barbara - hello smiling face AR buddy - glad you have already applied the tip! love to hear it :)
Fernando - thanks - I'm glad you liked
Margaret - I'm glad I'm able to break these things down into easy to follow steps - thanks for visiting! :)
Thank you. I hate that my own "mug shot" is what always shows up on Google+. Now I can fix that.
Hi Craig, I have been wondering how to get rid of my head image too. I will make that correction today. Great Tips. Suggested of course.
Great post! Thank you for all the help you have given me in the past and I know later you will do so again.
This was fantastic, not only do I hate my photo, but this is great for my listings. Thank you!
Hi Craig - Thanks for the heads-up on that. Now, if FB was a little easier to do the same, I'd be all set - it doesn't seem to pick up any of the graphics from my outside blog, and the workaround is a hassle.
Good Morning Craig.. Google+ is going to look so much better with everyone putting our great photos from posts! I did not know that we had that choice button. I was still doing it the same as Facebook .... less work is best! =)
Thank you very much for sharing your tips!
Have a very special Memorial Day and an outstanding week.

THANK YOU! I've been wondering how to change the post photo when I G+ my post because I don't want a photo of me on G+, it's already there. I'll defiitely switch this up. You rock!
Craig:
Thanks for the information. I need to spruce up my Google + site. But it will have to wait for a while. At least I know where to go to get the skinny. Thanks.
Craig, thanks for the tip! I notice this same problem happening on Facebook when I go to post a blog link. I always try to select the most attractive and appropriate thumbnail. I have not gotten into the whole Google Plus side of things yet though!
I did learn something about Google Plus Craig, so yes, you are doing a great job! I will now reblog this post and see if I can get it right when I add it to Google Plus. To be clear, you must do the scroll around each time to get the image you want to appear??
Oh my goodness Craig ~ that was so easy and I totally get why we should try to use another pic and not just the good ole AR profile picture. I hated the way my face always showed up. Now I am off to read your blog about getting around the same thing happening when we post to Facebook! Super exciting! Thank you Craig!!
Craig, you post are always so good and informative thyat I just wanted to thank you.
Kathy - watch out or I'll catch ya! ;)
Debbie - great!
Mark - I hope to see quite a few like you with light bulbs on over their heads LOL
Jerry - awesome!
Debbie - love to hear it
Sussie - thanks so much for the kind words
MaryKay - your g+ feed will have a whole new look! :)
Dick - yeah the workaround takes more time, but the good part is you get a nice big graphic on your post!
Bob - sometimes the simplest little things are right there for us to stumble across
Eric - every post should go there, it just takes a couple of minutes and is worth it
Janis - yes, I've notice an improvement on my AR circle already! :) and glad you see that g+ plays nicer that FB in this regard
Roy - glad you liked! :)
Tammy - glad for the group feature, thx - g+ great place to be!
David - sometimes it is right there but hard to see!
Jan - awesome, thx!
Evelyn - watch for it, now you know! :)
Terrie - thanks, glad to see you carry it through! :)
Debra - glad to help! :)
Gary - you are very welcome, glad to see you
Stephanie - happy to hear that it helps out! thx
Terkel - you are very welcome, thx for the visit
Great post Craig. I noticed that if I post to my outside blog, I can then pick from all the photos on the post.
Craig this was really helpful. I was often annoyed to see my face, now I have a solution.
Thank you.
Craig, as usual, your help is absolutely superb! But lately I have been having trouble loading photos on Active Rain. Some nights I just give up and hope it will work better tomorrow. I know I'm not the only one.
Sharon
Craig - Thanks for teaching us about this. I know it's a problem on FB and didn't know there was a fix. I'm off to go learn some more.
Craig, thanks for the timely post. I was wondering why google plus does this instead of defaulting to the graphic in the post.
Guilty as charged! And... I was so looking for the solution. For the life of me, I couldn't figure it out. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Kathy
Very helpful. After a brief period where I've had to focus on aspects of my business other than social media marketing, I am renewing my effort to embrace Google+. Thanks for the extra motivation!
Craig, another excellent post! Yes, I did learn something new today. Thanks.
Hi Craig - I didn't know this! I am going over there now to change mine! Thanks for the tip!
Cool Craig, this was driving me crazy. I will fix this and give people something else to look at other than my mug - time after time. :)
Craig, this is one thing that I noticed from the beginning! I cringe to see my face on the thumbnail.
Craig LOL, I just did one this morning & went back & deleted it. Got rid of my 'face' and got the correct pic on the post. Thank you so much! I'm sure others are tired of looking at my 8x10 face on their phones, etc. I knew this for FB.
Thanks for the tip. Google+ is a great way to get blog content out there so it indexes faster.
Thanks Craig! I wondered about this and now I know. Do you have any tricks for chosing the picture for facebook if we use the AR button on top of our posts. I don't like to use it as it's only our picture that shows up. We can't chose the photo - unless I missed something the last few weeks????
Hi Craig, I've been using this for sometime...Tammy Emineth told me about this special feature...sooo easy.
I would have never even thought of the issue, let alone your solution. Thanks for the great post.
Thank so much for another learning lesson. For me, it pays to surf the AR daily.
Thank you ! Great information thanks for sharing a great post! Thank you!
Hi Craig...Jerry Re-blogged this post and sent us over...Thanks for the Great Suggestion.
Congratlations on your feature
Hi Craig, excellent point however, I heard Google Plus is now referred to as Google Ghost town. No one really using.
I always find myself says "ah-ha" after reading your posts! I will change my ways - thanks for the tip.
Tom - for FB I assume, it is good to use your outside blog as landing anyway!
Jennifer - that's great
Sharon - sorry about the AR photos, I'm sure the devs continue to work out any issues
Christine - FB is supposed to work similarly - if your outside blog as links it sounds like it might, otherwise my workaround post is another option
Pamela - it sees tha avatar first, if it were "smarter" it would look for the main content pic
Kathy - so glad I could help
Rob - motivation is a good thing :)
Michael - you are very welcome
Peggy - you can't change once posted, but starting now onward is a different story
Debb - the AR g+ newsfeed is starting to have a different look with everybody doing better!
Lynda - the thumbnail complements the content!
Lyn - a whole new era hehe
Justin - feeding the google machine
Anna - nothing on the button to help, did you see my workaround? food for thought
Rebecca - teamwork we'll get the word out :)
Georgina - [smiles]
Gene - cool, glad to hear it
Kimo - value is here!
Peter - you are welcome!
Fred - I hope you get good mileage out of the tip, thx!
Bob - there is lots of activity on G+ - you just have to 'circle' the right people! :)
Francine - I like ah-ha moments :)
Thanks very much for the information. I will be putting this to good use.
Craig~since you are a master at Fatherhood as well as the internet, I just wanted to pass on a message of support for YOU for a great Father's Day (may it bring a bit of relaxation for you). You are a "FATHER" to so many of us in this social network, that I wanted you to bask in the glory of knowing how appreciated you are!
Happy Father’s Day, Craig!
Great tip. I've been focusing on Facebook and ignoring Googleplus. That is about to change.
Great post Craig! I love learning new stuff about technology, and though I'm not using Google+ much yet, I do use twitter, linkedin, and Facebook quite a bit. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Craig. This is not the first time I googled my question within activerain to get the answers I need from one of your posts.
Great great tip.. and look forward to more interesting insight in the future! Liz in Chandler
HI Craig.... thank you so much for this information..... we'll get rid of that smiley face.... hope I remember to...
