The Title of your Blog
The title of your blog is very important. It tells the search engine what your blog is about and it becomes the
clickable title that shows up in a Google search result. Unfortunately no one can guarantee that you show up on the first page of Google, but you can improve your changes of being found by your target audience. The first thing you want to do is select a keyword phrase you would like to rank for in the search engines. This keyword phrase will be used as the title of your blog post and should have the main phrase you would like to rank for at the beginning of the phrase. For example, if you would like to rank as a Foreclosure Specialist, your phrase would read “Foreclosure Specialist in Carson California” as opposed to “Carson California Foreclosure Specialist.” When you use a phrase like this, it is called a Long Tail keyword phrase that is geographic specific. Long Tail keyword phrases are keyword phrases that have 3-5 words in a phrase. They are more descriptive, cost less if you use pay per click and have a high probability of conversion.
The Body of your Blog
Now that you have a title that will help you rank in the search engines, you want to repeat that title within the first 160 characters of the body of your blog, twice in other locations of the body of your blog and at the end of your blog. That’s a total of 5 times including the title itself. These things will help you blog with SEO success in mind. Also the total length of your blog should be between 200 –500 words with a link to an authority on the subject along with an image and a H1 and H2 header tag. The Tags for your Blog
Lastly you want to tag your blog post with 3 different tags. Also as you write other articles on the same topic, you want to be consistent with your tags so that your blog post shows up in the appropriate place.
