MAN ENOUGH FOR THE JOB ?

MAN ENOUGH FOR THE JOB?  No duty is too small for great men.

There is an incident told of the first American War about an officer , who had his men cutting down trees

to build a bridge. The process was going very slow. He did't have enough men to get the job done in

 a timely manner.

MAN ENOUGH FOR THE JOB ?

The officer was doing nothing to help, but kept urging the soldiers to work faster.

Up rode a man on a horse and inquired about the situation and was told by the officer, he

did not have enough men to do the job. Why don't you help, asked the man on the horse ?

Well, I am a Corporal was the reply.

Getting off his horse the other man lent a hand and the job was finished.

He then mounted his horse and said to the Corporal , the next time you have a job to be done ,

you better send for the COMMANDER IN CHIEF  and I will come again.

It was General George Washington !

The moral of the story is, you never know who you are talking to.

MAN ENOUGH FOR THE JOB ?

I would never ask anyone to do something that I could do myself.

George Washington, from all I've read, was an exceptional leader. That's a good lesson.

That's when the country had REAL leadership and REAL statesman something perhaps lost today as you see the melba toast leadership we have running the country presently.

That has always been my motto since owning businesses: I will not ask anyone to do something that I have not done, or cannot do myself.  Best of luck to you Irene.  By the way, any relation to the old Giants/Dodgers/Cubs manager Leo Durocher?

Hi Winston Richard and Beth , thank you for your comments. The election is coming we

can help "change " this country into a positive, jobs for the unemployed and  the prosperous

Country we once were.

Watch Fox News " HANNITY " at 9 p.m. EST he is talking about a book   President Obama wrote in1990

about himself. It reveals a lot about him.

Hi Jerry, thank you for your comment. You can't lead from  the end of the line.

I agree with you. You have to be willing to work along side the "team" or the Troops in this

case.
