Real Estate Broker/Owner with Five Corners Properties

This past weekend our Real Living Five Corners office held a wonderful local event (see press release below)

I have always said it is much better "advertising" to do a local event than run an ad in the paper....

Case in point... this event attracted several hundred local residents to drop bye and visit us, agents received several leads including a walk in listing not one but two properties.  We received website recognition, newspaper coverage...event was covered by various radio and tv stations.... all in all a win win.... so the next time you want to generate some business... think about what you can do locally rather than running that same old ad with some house pics in it!

Historic 1912 Heathcote Train Depot to Celebrate 100th Anniversary with Free Memorial Day Festivities SCARSDALE, NY --- One hundred years ago, the former New York, Westchester and Boston Railroads completed a new passenger depot in Scarsdale, New York. This historic depot, fully renovated and owned by Real Living Five Corners Real Estate, was built to accommodate the crush of traffic of commuters travelling from their homes in the “country” to their jobs in the city (New York City) from 1912 until the train line was abandoned in 1937. “To help celebrate the 100th anniversary of this architectural landmark, on Monday, May 28, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., we’re inviting everyone the Scarsdale area to stop by the depot at 300 Heathcote Rd. to celebrate and partake in complimentary hot dogs, hamburgers, music, prizes and balloons!” said Jonathan Lerner owner of the depot and Real Living Five Corners Real Estate. (Pictured above is the Heathcote Railway Depot in 1912 and 2012) “Our historic depot is a piece of Scarsdale history. It’s a Italianate-style design constructed with a Mediterranean-style, red tile roof, which was unique in 1912 and today is more commonly found in California, Florida or Arizona, and not in the Scarsdale area,” said Lerner. “The exterior is faced with stucco painted white and inlaid tiles denoting a Heathcote crest on the façade,” he added. “The Heathcote Train Station later served as the headquarters of the Scarsdale Volunteer Ambulance Corps, who for more than 40 years answered the call of residents, workers, and commuters in Scarsdale with advanced life support ambulance services, before moving to their newly-constructed site on Weaver Street,” Lerner said. “At our Memorial Day celebration, we’ll also have on display photographs of the building through the years, and we’ll be happy to show everyone the restored interior,” said Lerner. “We really hope to have a huge crowd of Scarsdale residents at our celebration to honor the architectural history of the New York, Westchester and Boston Railroads,” Lerner added.
