An Easy Way To Improve Activity At Open House Events..Send Invitations

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with RE/MAX Executive Realty - Happily Retired 104763

The most efficient way to improve activity at open house events is to spread the word to as many potential buyers as possible.  Mailing individual invitations in postcard form is an effective method of reaching the masses.  Everyone reads their mail, and the chance of a recipient throwing the card away without glancing at it first for a couple of seconds is nil.

That glance will be enough to trigger a longer look if the recipient is interested in moving to this type of property.  If this open house ad were to be submitted to a newspaper, there would be fewer people seeing it.

Not everyone buys the newspaper; those who do may miss the ad unless it’s a large one; and once the newspaper is thrown away so too is the information.  Out of sight, out of mind!!  People tend to hold onto those postcards.  I’ve seen visitors to our open house events come into the house with the postcard in hand.

This postcard will be mailed to a database of 55+ recipients in Franklin and several surrounding towns.  We’re on the final stretch of two condo communities, and we don’t want activity to slow down.  By mailing once a month to different towns, activity and sales will remain consistent enough to sell out.

Barbara - these are great direct mail marketing cards.  You should receive good activity from this one.  I like saving money using the standard size card and getting more bang for the money with a second mailing.  Good job!

Thanks, Barbara..... I could never see the benefit of the larger postcard...it's actually less likely that they'll keep the card because of the size of it....

Nice marketing - do you hold open houses every weekend? Or just send these out whenever there's going to be an open house?

Snail mail is pretty hard for most people to ignore.

Wayne and Jean.... postcards work.... everyone reads their mail.... they toss it if they're not in the market right now....but some do keep a card for the future.... we hold open houses every weekend except christmas and easter...

You would assume that people would understand that no one will show up to your party unless you send them an invitation. You never hear of people crashing an open house...

We have a lot of postcard mailings and various ones seem to work but the tried and true are the just listed for buyers and the just sold for getting the sellers.
