Have you ever thought about going ito real estate? Everyone seems to think it is an easy job, you can make lots of money, drive a glamerous car...it is a great job, don't get me wrong but the market can sometimes make a fun job not so fun.
I work in one of the greatest cities...Atlanta! I love it and that is somewhat surprising considering that when we moved here almost 4 years I go I did not want to move. Cried like a baby just at the thought of it. But this is a great place to be, lots to do, friendly, usually warm and you meet people from all over the world here. I think the fact that I am a transplant helps me be a better agent; I remember the things I was concerned about and wanted to know and this helps me anticipates things my cleints may also be concerned with.
I work primarily in Cobb county which is Marietta but also has the cities of Acworth, Kennesaw, Powder Springs and Austell. This is a great, growing area; good schools, great shopping and restaurants, a bit of a drive during rush hour to downtown but far enough out that there are lots of suburban areas and subdivisions.
Real estate is fun but it keeps you busy. I work almost 100 hours a week and between that and balancing a family with two dogs who think they are really two additional kids keeps you busy! But I love it and find it fascinating that I can learn something new everyday. I try to be passionate about my job and love helping people find the home where the can raise their family and make wonderful memories.
This is a tough market whether you are a buyer or seller but if you have a good agent in your corner, you can survive it. I hope to be that agent!
