Suzanne - Thanks for this list!  I'll call the numbers and have my dad listen next time we visit him at the Alzheimer's unit.  He was an avid bird watcher back in the day.  Maybe it will get some reaction from him.

Between this one, and the last list, I think you have them all covered off.   Except for the mourning dove which I personally like.

Nice post.  I, personally, like the loons on the lakes.  I will have to check out the website to see if they have that call, too.

Hi Suzanne - Thanks for the list - I'll be sharing it with some birder clients. Our birds are fairly noisy, but the ones that are waking me up every morning as soon as it starts to get light are the geese, who now have lots of little goslings that need herding around. BTW, 10 birhouses? Wonder where those came from.

What fun! My two year old daughter LOVES listening to the birds in the morning and evening, and simply dances for joy when a hummingbird zips by. It's the simple things...

Suzanne, Funny you should mention birds being up early since the other morning I woke at around 3:30 and couldn't get back top sleep. The birds were making so much racket, or it seemed to me. I had no idea they start their day that early. Have a great day too.

I think Cornell Lab is wonderful and they help me determine the species of birds and I love to watch the bird cams too. I think is is so interesting that your found phone numbers with the bird sounds. Very interesting and I will have to check out a few.

Very interesting that you can call a number and hear singing birds. I like to go outside in the morning to get the paper and take a moment to listen to all the birds. Obviously you must be a bird lover.
